It is equipped with facilities like ERI (Electronic Return Intermediary) for bulk e-filing and quick upload through ITD Web Services. The software can calculate income tax from the Assessment Year 2000-01 onwards, considering various factors such as deductions under Chapter VI A, brought forward losses, relevant rebates, unabsorbed depreciation, and clubbing of minor's and spouse's income. It also prepares return forms and calculates miscellaneous ratios automatically for ITR 1 to ITR 7. Furthermore, Gen IT allows for the import of XML format data for e-filing and bulk contact verification for PIN verification through email.
